I just LOVE this cover! Her gorgerous red hair, her pose, and her cloak draped all over is just stunning. And then, of course, the "hidden" castle or fort in the picture. And I love the leaves falling all around the trees and how you can see mist and it seems a little blurry. Love it!

Nice! This is an interesting technique of adding the character as an overlay, rather than being a part of in the scenery. Thank you for sharing it. It is my first look at this one.

ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely a stunning, gorgeous cover!! I LOVE it!! The composition is very dynamic -- the sharp angles of the girl's black cloak seem to be clashing against each other, and yet, they flow upward, leading to her flaming red hair. She has taken a watchful warrior's stance; she's poised for sudden action. She seems so fearless, so determined. The trees in the background are silhouetted against the mist...they speak of fairies and mystical adventures! All of these elements tell me so much about the story! This is a book I want to read!!! And I want this cover as a framed poster in my bedroom!! Thanks for featuring it! : )
