Synopsis
After a long and heartbreaking journey to Dimitri's birthplace in Siberia, Rose Hathaway has finally returned to St. Vladimir's-and to her best friend, Lissa. It is nearly graduation, and the girls can't wait for their real lives beyond the Academy's iron gates to begin. But Rose's heart still aches for Dimitri, and she knows he's out there, somewhere.
She failed to kill him when she had the chance. And now her worst fears are about to come true. Dimitri has tasted her blood, and now he is hunting her. And this time he won't rest until Rose joins him... forever.
My 2 cents
This review will be hard to write without giving away spoilers. So much happens in the book. Its almost like its divided into 2 parts: the first part about what the synopsis talks about, then the part that happens AFTER Rose's and Dmitri's confrontation.
So I'll try to focus mainly on the first part. Its basically almost like Blood Promise never happened. Rose and her friends are graduating school. Most of the book takes place in the Court. We start to learn more about the Moira's politics and what being a Guardian really means. Lissa has promised Rose she will help her free Victor Dashkov from prison so they can learn more about freeing Dmitri from evil.
Relationships go all over the place in this book. Lissa and Christian are still hot for each other, but won't admit it. Lissa thinks he may be dating someone else. Rose and Adrian are growing closer, but there is still Dmitri in the back of her mind. Even Eddie's and Rose's friendship takes some hard knocks!
I think this is the book that finally made me fall in love with Adrian. I was totally team Dmitri before this book. I am now Team Adrian! He's just so hot, rich, suave, and fun! I really think he and Rose are better suited for each other.
The story line...HOLY CRAP!!! I cannot believe what happened in this book! Twists and turns everywhere, and lots of action! This is easily the best VA book so far! I can't wait to read the conclusion!
