Shelf Candy Saturday #6

Shelf Candy Saturdays is put on by Five Alarm Book Reviews, where we feature a book cover and why we like it!

Today's Pick is Asunder by Jodi Meadows, the 2nd book in the NewSoul Series, due to release sometime in 2013

I just saw this cover today!  I've been so out of the loop lately!  I love how this cover shows Ana going through a transformation.  She was a bright new butterfly, and now she's learning how to be different.  I love that the flower petals falling look like her tears.  The colors are exquisite! Makes me really want to read this book NOW!

  1. This cover is equally as gorgeous as the first in the series. The colors and light are stunning. I have to start this series. Thanks for sharing.

  2. This is really my kind of cover!! WOW!!! I LOVE it!!! It's bold, colorful, and very creative. I adored the first cover in this series, and now we have THIS cover to delight our eyes!

Besides the fact that the right-hand side of the model's hair is blue, and that happens to be my very favorite color, there's also hot pink in several areas. That's another color I love, although not as much as blue.

Of course, the flower petals placed over the girl's face make the cover totally stand out from any other book covers out there. I wonder who the artist or designer is (or are), because they sure have a lot of talent!!

I would love to frame this cover, as well as the cover of "Incarnate", and put them up in my living room or bedroom. Thank you so much for sharing this gorgeous work of art!! : )

    1. I love the flower petals even more than the butterfly's wings in the last cover! I agree, these covers are just beautiful!

  3. OMG SO GLAD YOU PICKED THIS! I love this cover, and thankfully it's equally as beautiful as Incarnate, because let's face it, we would be disappointed if it wasn't!
I think I'm equally as excited about this book coming out, as much as the beauty of the cover! I wonder what the third book will look like!

  4. I knew it! It's really obvious that this is the follow up cover to that of Incarnate. I love it! It has the same magical, ethereal feel as the first one. And of course, the characteristic mask. I think it's really cool that they kept the butterfly shape even though this mask is more flowery. I also really like the title, very unique. The red and blue hues and the petals fluttering from the mask, just add something extra. Really nice pick! I didn't even know this cover was out. :)

    1. This is probably the best cover I've seen in quite a long while. I didn't know this cover was out, either, I guess it came out a week ago!
