Dana from Danasquare and I are hosting a read-a-thon! It is called the End of the Year 2013 Reading Cram, and will run from Dec. 9-22nd!
If you are anything like me you have a huge stack (or even bookcases) full of book you haven't read. Did you have a goal for how many books you wanted to read during the year? Are you behind like I am?
Then this is the perfect time to read as much as you can before the new year!
You can still sign up HERE
And now, let't get this show on the road!!
TBR Challenge
Today's challenge is super easy! All you need to do is to create a TBR list for the read-a-thon! You may post is on your blog, Tumblr, Facebook, or you may make a video on YouTube, or you can even just create a bookshelf for it on Goodreads! Make sure you link below to be entered! We are very informal here, so you don't have to stick to this list, and there is no set amount that you have to read. Your goals are up to you!
And to be a qualified winner, you must be signed up for the read-a-thon and you must follow Dana and this blog!
My TBR
My pile for this read-a-thon is extensive. I usually try to read 10 books a week for a read-a-thon, so my goal is 20 books. I will pick from the following lists!
First of all, I have a ton of ARCs I need to review...23 of them! So I'm going to try to concentrate on these!
One Tiny Lie by K.A. Tucker
The Iron Traitor by Julie Kagawa
These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman
Crash Into You by Katie McGarry
Blue Hearts of Mars by Nicole Grotepas
Where the Stars Still Shine by Trish Doller
Hereafter by Kate Brian
Indelible by Dawn Metcalf
A Spark Unseen by Sharon Cameron
Conjured by Sarah Beth Durst
Rose Under Fire by Elizabeth Wein
Countdown by Michelle Rowan
Ink Is Thicker Than Water by Amy Spaulding
Red River by Kelly Van Hull
Tent City by Kelly Van Hull
Definitely Maybe In Love by Ophelia London
Begin With Goodbye by Lilly Wright
Reality Boy by A.S. King
Escaping Reality by Lisa Renee Jones
Love Tink by Elle Strauss
Parasite by Mira Grant
The Girl Who Was On Fire by Leah Wilson
The Panem Companion by V. Arrow
I also have a few books off my shelves that I would like to try to get to!
The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan (reread)
The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan
The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater
Unwholly by Neal Shusterman
Attachments by Rainbow Rowell
Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor

Oh, Reality Boy is a good one! I definitely hope you'll like that one. I'm also planning on reading These Broken Stars, as long as I can get a copy. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm excited about each and every one of those ARCs!!
DeleteOh, I loved A Spark Unseen - and the previous book in the series, The Dark Unwinding (have you read that one?)! Happy reading! And thanks for the giveaway. :)

Yes! I loved The Dark Unwinding, I'm excited for the sequel! Thanks for joining in the fun!
DeleteFanGirl, please. People raved about that book :)
ReplyDeleteYes, its SO GOOD!!
DeleteSo many books! I don't think I'd be able to read 10 books per week. It seems to much for me. I haven't read any of the books mentioned but I want to read most of them. Anyways, I hope you reach your goals :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I am a speed reader, and I read A LOT...normal week for me is 5-7 books. So I try to up it at readathons. I don't always succeed!
DeleteI've got Escaping Reality on my TBR pile too, as well as Crash into you. The Iron Traitor is really good so i hope you enjoy that and i've had my eye on Parasite for a while so i'll be seeing what you post on it :) Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteYw! I'm excited for all 4 of those! Thanks for joining in!
DeleteOoh I really liked def, maybe in love. I hope you do too! Great TBR. I picked my 12 books that I need to read most urgently for review but Ihave so many more that should get read as well. I need more time in the day haha
ReplyDeleteMichelle @ Book Briefs
Me too!! yes, this is just a drop in the bucket, I have several more for review, as well as shelves of unread books, and many many ebooks just sitting on my Kindle and Nook!
DeleteI LOVED These Broken Stars! I hope you enjoy it too!
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to that one, I've only heard good things!
DeleteI need to finish those Rick Riordan books too, maybe next month. Good luck with your pile.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'm hoping!!
DeleteThat is a lot of books to read- good luck with your challenge to read 20 books!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I always make pretty big goals, hoping I can do it!
Delete20??? Gasp, gasp, GASP! That is impressive! Per week?? I thought my goal of a book a day was ambitious! How do you even get through 20 books a week? Haha, are you sleeping, eating and all that mundane stuff? :D Anyway, good luck with your goal!!
ReplyDeleteNo, 20 books for the two weeks total. I don't think I could do 20 books a week! lol
Delete20 books in two weeks?! Holy moly!!! And here I thought that reading 7 in two weeks was a lot! Geesh...I'm a slow reader. Good luck!!
ReplyDeleteLOL 7 books is good! Everyone has their own reading speed, and schedules and such--the idea is to try to read more than you normally do! This is why I think its good for everyone to set their own goals, so they don't get frustrated. Good luck!
DeleteDo you have a grab code available for your event graphic? Goodreads won't let me post them without a code.

DeleteIf you right click on the pic and then click "open image in a new tab", in the new tab it will have the code :)
Thank you. Sometimes when I do it that way it won't always work & sometimes they come up just fine. Goodreads is picky for some reason.
DeleteYou're welcome, and I know, right? lol
